    As an CAE with …
As an CAE with caribbean star airlines (now bankrupt) for 3 years. i worked on dash 8 Q300.
I find them over -engeneered and the steel/aluminum hydraulic lines/pipes a very stupid idea. Almost every month an aircraft would be but out due to these buggers.

the cabin air distribution motor also seems to work on low rpm or die after replacing it over 4 times.
software issues (landing gear doors closing before landing gear is retracted) and rubber door seals drying out in the humidity here.

    actually seats and …
actually seats and in perticular comfort, is the airline responsbility, I flew just 3 dys ago on an A330 then a 777 and on the A330 the seats were bigger the space between the seat in front of you was longer than on the 777 also the 777 makes a lot of noise compared to the A330 and we took off from a shorter rwy with the A330. but I like both aircrafts. But You cn only copare 2 constructers by the noise, the stability , the vibrations at all times of flight but not the comfort. Ther it is the

    Q400 has the same …
Q400 has the same gate to gate time as a a jet aircraft when distance is under 450 miles. The bonus with the Q400 is that it uses 30 percent less fuel without sacrificing gate times.

    its almost like …
its almost like that on every aircraft.

they could stretch that thing another 5 times but you still couldn’t store your carry on bags in the overhead bins

    Bombardier is the …
Bombardier is the best when it comes to aeronautics!

    contd…

    The …
    contd…

The global express is one of the best aircraft of its kind. Bombardier actually owns the corporate jet market and can do very well. However unfortunately, revenues from this sector isn’t that great.

  12. Freedomforevery1 September 30, 2009 6:25 pm

    The Dash series are …
The Dash series are disappointing aircrafts although they are out dated de havilland successors. The CRJs have done a good job in the market. But bombardier doesn’t seem to have a bright future in the civil aviation sector due to the increasing competition other companies are providing in the regional jet market. I dont think there is any point of the C series. Sukhoi Superjet is already out.

    that really didn’t …
that really didn’t have anything to do with the plane. That was because there was a scrap of metal or something left on the runway from a previous plane. It caused the tires to explode and it caused a gas leak and so on.

    The CRJ looks like …
The CRJ looks like a stretched out version of the Global Express.

    “compared to other jets”
I was asking about the Q400. That’s the turboprop.. o_O

    It’s a really nice …
It’s a really nice plane, I went on it about 2 years ago. I forget, but I think the seats to have either tray-tables or a pocket(one of those) It’s not that noisy compared to other jets but when you take off, it goes really nose high.

    hahahah dont even …
hahahah dont even get me started on the big but fatal mistake of the Concorde SST. it was a super sonic airliner but the cons overpowerd the pros big time!

    one thing i …
    one thing i should’ve mentioned

McDonnel Douglas—> good at making aircraft with terrible flight history, (like the 90+ DCI plane crashes due to mechanical failure)
    lol.

i still love the looks of the DC-10, but i wouldn’t wanna pilot one unless its history was a rather clean one. its very shaky.

    I’m most likely …
I’m most likely flying in a Q400 in August! Anybody here been on it? If so, what’s it like for comfort? =3

  21. esmith512 September 30, 2009 6:25 pm

    I like both planes. …
I like both planes. I like the Q’s efficiency and I love the CRJ’s speed, handling, and personality. All of the CRJs have a bit of Bill Lear’s personality in them, and are a more nimble “sports car airliner” compared to the more massive (and also excellent) Boeings.

  22. canariojoe September 30, 2009 6:25 pm

    Bombardier: “good …
Bombardier: “good at doing DASH planes with landing gear which fails everywhere, anytime” :P

  23. HugelyBig September 30, 2009 6:25 pm

    Well, I’d say …
Well, I’d say Boeing planes tend to be more comfortable. At least, that’s out of the planes I’ve flown in. I ended up really hurting my neck looking out the window of an A319 (it was at like chest height o.o). I dunno, I just find boeing more comfortable. =3

  24. Sharod101 September 30, 2009 6:25 pm

    boeing –> good at …
boeing –> good at making good looking airplanes
Airbus –> good at making luxury airplanes
Bombardier/Learjet–> good at making private jets
    Tupolev–>idk
    Lockheed–>similar to boeing
    mooney–> good at speed
cessna–>good with family airplanes/ training airplanes
    De-Haviland–>good at adventuring airplanes.

    xD
