how long did it take for news to travel from europe to america during WW2?

if something happened in europe, how many days later would it appear in an American newspaper in 1943?(mid WW2)

It took seconds for news to cross the Atlantic as both wireless radio and underwater phone cables were used. Newspapers could get the news to the street in a matter of 30 – 45 min as "extra editions" were still printed when important stories happened.

The telegraph, radio , and telephone made the transfer of information a matter of minutes . However all news had to be cleared by government censors {so much for freedom of the press}.This might take days ,or weeks , Or the "something" might be considered bad for the war effort and not released at all.
