Will the post offices in the UK give a very good exchange rate on cashing travel cheques as opposed to banks?

Written on December 25, 2009. Written by admin.

I have heard that the post office will not charge any fees to cash my dollar travelers cheques over there, but I am now wondering how their exchange rate will compare to the banks, such as Lloyds Bank?

Anyone know?

Thanks for your answers!

I´m not 100% sure but the Post office is a good bet. Also worth considering are two large shopping businesses. One is Marks & Spencers and the other is Tesco´s. In many shopping areas you will see these shops close to each other. Anybody here will point you in the right direction.
