Mongols in search of Mongols: Xinjiang Uyghur (TV promo)
NTV production team is implementing the Mongolian families around the world (Delhiin Mongol ail) project to shoot a series of documentary films about the spread of Mongolian ethnics around the world.
Our objective is to document the movements of ethnic Mongolian tribes/people, by following the path of the Mongol Empires invasions in the 13th century and thereafter. We are filming documentaries in seven countries where a large number of people of Mongol origin live, for example, Russia, China, India, Taiwan, USA, Afghanistan and Mongolia.
Besides documentaries, we have recorded a travel series Mongols in search of Mongols for broadcasting on television and by other media, with the first five programs already aired by NTV-Mongolia. The series was filmed in Republic of Kalmykia and Buryat Republic in Russian Federation, Inner Mongolia, Kok nor (Qinghai Lake), Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region in China, Bamyan Province in Afghanistan and Kalimpong, India.
We start by choosing a family with Mongol-origin, record a story about their family history and current lives. Our next destination is Taiwan, ROC and New Jersey, USA.
