What is the difference between a Tour Operator and a Travel Agent?

a tour operator is basically one thats in charge of your tours well the more specific ones…like travel arrangements to and from theme parks, famous structures and things
when your travel agents is just mostly incharge of you getting to where you wanna go usually more than 100km basically long distance travel
unless your agent goes above and beyond…and …does everything for you
